H. Lundbeck Expands Collaboration with MindGenix

MindGenix Inc. (Albany) announced its expanded collaboration with H. Lundbeck to test candidate drug compounds for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease in MindGenix's relevant model of the disease. The PS1/APP transgenic mouse model used in the proprietary platform developed by MindGenix demonstrates behavioral abnormalities and other hallmark features of Alzheimer's neuropathology. MindGenix's services enable Lundbeck to rapidly screen multiple drug candidates. Notably, H. Lundbeck has been able to demonstrate critical proof of concept rapidly on novel compounds in the MindGenix model. The next stage will be to optimize lead drug candidates - thus moving Lundbeck's most promising compounds to the initiation of clinical trials.
